pick a side. find your people.

How it works

  1. Pick a side: Every question gives you two options: red flag or not, text first or wait, go out or stay home. Tap the one you would actually pick.
  2. See how everyone voted: The second you vote, the split shows up, like 63% vs 37%, so you can see if you are with the crowd or totally on your own.
  3. Add your own: Post the debate that has been living in your group chat and let the city settle it. Add friends by @handle to see where you two land.
  4. Find your people (Pro): Vote enough and Pro matches you with people in your city who think just like you. Say yes to each other and you swap Instagrams; that is where the conversation goes.

The kind of dilemma you’ll vote on

  • Text first or wait it out after a great first date?
  • Is splitting the bill on a first date a green flag or a turn-off?
  • Bring a plus-one to the wedding or fly solo?
  • Bestie left you on read for a week: say something or let it slide?
  • Move in together before the one-year mark, yes or no?
  • Comfy flats or the cute heels for a night out?

Why City Girl Questions

Find people who think like you (Pro)

The more you vote, the more we learn your take. Pro matches you with people in your city who answer just like you do. If you both say yes, you swap Instagrams and take it from there; no one is shown until you both opt in.

See how your friends voted (opt-in)

Add friends by @handle, you both have to say yes. Flip on "show friends’ votes" in Settings and, after you answer, you will see how each friend voted. Off by default, friends only.

A new question every day

Open the app to a fresh batch of polls about dating, friends, family, and city life: the stuff you argue about in the group chat. Tap your pick in a second, then see where everyone else landed.

Totally anonymous

Every question posts as "anonymous," so your name is never attached to what you ask.

No comments, no DMs

No comment sections to argue in and no inbox to babysit. Your vote and the emoji reactions are the whole thing, and when you match with someone the chat moves to Instagram.

Pricing

Free to vote, submit, and see the daily feed. Pro is $1.99/month for higher daily caps, Never Have I Ever group play, the Like-Minded match, contact-list friend import, and Monthly Wrapped.

About City Girl Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is City Girl Questions?

It is an app full of polls about dating, friends, family, and city life: basically the stuff you argue about in the group chat. You tap the side you agree with and instantly see how everyone else voted, shown as a split (like 63% vs 37%), never raw vote counts. Vote enough and Pro can match you with people in your city who think just like you.

Is City Girl Questions free?

Yes. The daily feed, voting, and submitting up to five questions a day are all free. Pro is $1.99 a month and unlocks higher daily caps, Never Have I Ever group play, the Like-Minded Match Finder, and Monthly Wrapped.

Are my questions anonymous?

Yes. Every question displays as "anonymous" to other viewers, so two questions by the same person look unrelated to readers. You can still see your own questions on your profile, and friends only see each other’s identities behind an opt-in toggle.

Why do results show a split instead of vote counts?

So no question ever feels "dead" and no scoreboard pushes you toward the popular answer. You see how the room voted, say 70% vs 30%, but never the number of votes behind it. Every question stands on how people leaned, not on how many happened to vote.

What is Never Have I Ever in this app?

A Pro-only Never Have I Ever game with 100 seeded prompts. Players join a real-time room with a six-character code, share the prompt, and reveal answers together. Web-only for v1; the mobile-native version is on the roadmap.

Does City Girl Questions have direct messages or comments?

No, and it never will. Question expression is strictly thumbs up / thumbs down plus five emoji reactions. There are no comments, replies, or in-app DMs. Off-platform conversation happens on Instagram. When the Like-Minded Match Finder fires a mutual match, both parties opt in to exchange Instagram handles and the chat moves there.

How do I add a friend?

Pick a handle on your profile, then search by @handle on the friends page and send a request. You can also import your contact list (hashed phone matching, no raw numbers stored) to auto-find friends who already have the app.

Can I see how my friends voted?

Yes, if you turn it on. Add friends by @handle (you both confirm), then switch on "show friends’ votes" in Settings. After you answer a question, you will see how your friends voted on it too. It is off by default and limited to friends you have both added.

How do I meet people who think like me?

That is the Like-Minded Match Finder, a Pro feature. As you vote, the app quietly finds people in your city who answer the same way you do. Nothing is shared automatically: you both have to opt in, and only then do you swap Instagram handles and take the conversation there.
